How to install OverDrive & check-out ebooks on your Apple iPad in Wisconsin's Digital Library
1) Go to the App Store.

2) Search for OverDrive Media Console.

3) In the iPad Apps, the OverDrive Media Console will be a free app. Tap on Free, then tap on Install.



4) Enter your Apple ID and Password, then OK.

5) OverDrive will begin to load on your device.

6) Open OverDrive when the download is complete.


7) You will need to sign into your Adobe ID account. Enter your
Adobe ID (usually your email address) and password, then tap on
Authorize.

8) Tap Get Books.

9) Tap on Add a Library.

10) Enter your library by name, city or ZIP code (in this example 54022 for River Falls) and then tap Search.

11) Tap on your local library, in this example - River Falls.

12) Under your library name, tap WiLS (Wisconsin Public Library Consortium).

13) You will be directed to the Wisconsin Public Library Consortium website where you can search for ebooks and MP3 Audiobooks. Login with your MORE library card.

14) Tap on the little arrow to select your library.

15) Select the Indianhead Federated Library System. This will work for all MORE Library Consortium library card holders.

Otherwise, you can scroll to your local library, in this example, River Falls Public Library.

16) Enter your library card number,
then tap Login.
(You must have an up-to-date
MORE library card with less than $10.00 in fines to check-out. If you
do not have a library card, go to your local Wisconsin public library to
sign-up for a card. To find your local IFLS library, go to
http://www.ifls.lib.wi.us/Default.aspx?tabid=150 or to find your
closest local Wisconsin library go to
http://dpi.wi.gov/pld/wisysdir.html#public.)

17) You will be in My Account. You can search for ebooks by selecting Home, Browse or Search.

18) In this example, Browse all Adobe EPUB eBook Titles.

19) In this example, there are over 9900 ePub titles. Tap on Available Now to limit your search to available titles.

20) This will limit your search to available titles.

21) Titles can be sorted by Relevancy, Title, Author, Release Date, Most Popular or Added to Site.

22) When you find a title you want to check-out, tap on Add to My Cart for the ePUB eBook. Do not select the Kindle Book.

23) Verify that you have selected the EPUB eBook then tap on Proceed to Checkout.

24) Select a checkout period of 7, 14 or 21 days.

25) Your title will begin to load.


26) After a few moments, your ebook will be downloaded.
27) Tap the title to begin reading your ebook.
In this example, the ebook has a 7
day check-out.

28) You can turn the pages of your ebook by sliding to the left or right.

29) You can adjust the setting, such as font size, with the little settings icons on the top of the page.

30) You can return or delete your book. Tap on the + symbol, then tap on Return/Delete.

31) If your title is still checked out, select Return then Delete. Expired titles are automatically returned. Expired titles will stay on your device after they expire. You must delete an expired title to remove it from your device.

32) In this example, the Returned / Deleted title is now gone.
