How to install Overdrive on your Windows PC
1) Go to the Wisconsin Public Library Consortium (WPLC) Digital Downloads web site - http://dbooks.wplc.info, on the bottom right under Software, click on OverDrive Media Console.
2) Select the Windows version and then click on Download Now.
3) When the download appears, click on Save File.
4) The Overdrive file will start to download. Depending on your connection speed, it may take several minutes to download. Be patient and wait for the download to compete.
5) When the download is complete, go to the
downloaded file and double-click on the setup file.
(The downloaded setup file is likely to be in the
My Documents folder, in a Downloads folder or on your desktop.)
6) Click on Run to install.
7) When prompted, click on Next.
8) Click on I Agree and then
Next.
(You may want to read the license agreement before
you agree.)
9) Select who you want to use the program, either Everyone or Just me, and then click Next.
10) Click Next again.
11) OverDrive will begin installing.
12) When the installation is complete, click on Close.
13) Find the OverDrive Media Console icon on your desktop or in your Programs in your Start menu. Open Overdrive.
14) OverDrive Media Console is ready.
