How to Place a Hold on an ebook or Other Digital Downloads
1) Using a web browser on your tablet, smart phone, computer or Kindle Fire, go to the MORE online catalog (http://www.more.lib.wi.us), click on Digital Downloads to go to the Wisconsin Public Library Consortium website (http://dbooks.wplc.info)

2) At the Wisconsin Public Library Consortium website, log in with your library card number by clicking on Sign In in the upper right corner.

3) Select the Indianhead Federated Library
System for your library system, enter your entire
library card number and then click on Sign In.
(You must have an up-to-date MORE library card
with less than $10.00 in fines to check-out. If you do not have a
library card, go to your local Wisconsin public library to sign-up for a
card. To find your local IFLS library, go to
http://www.ifls.lib.wi.us/Default.aspx?tabid=150 or to find your
closest local Wisconsin library go to
http://dpi.wi.gov/pld/wisysdir.html#public.)

4) You will be logged into your Wisconsin Public Library Consortium digital downloads account.

5) Find an ebook to place on hold with Quick Search or by browsing ebook categories.

6) When you find a title you would like to place a hold on, click on
Place a Hold on the appropriate format, Kindle or ePUB.
(If you have an Amazon Kindle device or app,
select the Kindle format. All other devices use the ePub format)

7) Verify the format and enter your email address and then click on Place a Hold.

You will see the message below after successfully placing a hold.

8) When your hold is available to check-out, you will receive an email notification. You will have 72 hours from the time the email was sent to check out your reserved ebook.

If you miss the 72 hour time period to check out your reserved ebook, your hold will expire and you will not be able to check out the ebook. If there is a long holds list for an ebook, you will loose your place in the list. It is your responsibility to check your email regularly if you have an ebook on hold. Your local library staff will not be able to help you if your time period expires.
9) After you receive the email notification, log into the Wisconsin
Public Library Consortium webpage at
http://dbooks.wplc.info. You will again be in the WPLC page to
manage your account.
Click on My Holds.

10) You will see the hold that is available for you. Click on Add to My Cart for the appropriate format, Kindle or ePub.
11) Click on Proceed to Checkout to checkout your hold.
If you no longer want your hold, click on Remove. This will free up the title from your 72 hour time period and either move the hold onto the next person with a hold or make the title available on the WPLC catalog.
12) You can manage your holds or see where you are on the waiting list in My Account, under My Holds
