How to Transfer an ebook to a Nook with Adobe Digital Editions from your PC
1) Connect your Nook to your computer with the Nook USB cable. Make sure your Nook is powered on and not in sleep mode before connecting.
2) Open up the Adobe Digital Editions program.
If you have not already installed Adobe Digital
Editions, you must install it now.

3) You will need to authorize your Nook to work with Adobe Digital Editions. Click on Authorize Device.

4) Your device will be authorized. Click on Finished.

5) When you open Adobe Digital Editions, you will see
the ebook that you previously download from the Wisconsin Public Library
Consortium Digital Download Center and your Nook.

6) Click and hold on the ebook and drag it to your Nook. Let go of the mouse button when you see the little + sign hovering above your device.

7) Click on your Nook icon. The ebook is now on your Nook. The number of check-out days for the ebook will be displayed on the upper right corner of the ebook. You can start reading the ebook on your Nook.

8) To return or delete the ebook, click on the the little arrow on the upper left of the ebook. You can select either Return or Delete. If the check period has not expired, use Return if you no longer want the ebook. Use Delete if ebook check-out period has expired.



9) When you are done transferring or deleting files, you should follow the Nook instructions before you disconnect your portable device from your computer.
According to the Nook User Guide on page 156, you should:
Ensure that no USB operations are still in progress. On a computer running Microsoft Windows, click on Start > Computer, right-click the nook drive and choose Eject. If you have a supplemental microSD card, also eject that drive. Choosing Safely Remove from the right-click menu or Safely Remove Hardware from the taskbar does not work. You must eject the drives.
