Tues, Jan 23 - the library is open
Call the library at 715-425-0905. Meeting room reservations will only be accepted in person or by phone.
Users must complete a meeting room contract and drop off the deposit (and separate fee if needed for the lower level) before using meeting rooms. Please request a form at the Reference Desk after scheduling your meeting, either in person at the library or by calling 715-425-0905.
All groups, whether governmental, for-profit or non-profit are invited to use the library's meeting rooms; however, no fees may be charged and no sales may be made when using the Library meeting rooms. Rooms may not be used by organizations for commercial purposes, or for private social events for individuals. Meetings held in the Library are considered public meetings, open to all wishing to attend.
The library has two free public meeting rooms that community groups can use, the David M. Smith Main Level Meeting Room and the Board Room. There is a $20 deposit to use the rooms. The deposit must be cash or check, no credit cards. The main level meeting rooms can be used for regularly scheduled meetings, but are generally limited to once a month for high demand times such as weekday evening and weekends.
In general, the Library allows groups to reserve the meeting room and board room on a first-come, first-serve basis but does reserve the right to make schedule adjustments according to the Library's needs. In case of conflict the following order of priority applies: (1) Library programs - which involve efforts of Library staff; (2) Local government meetings/programs - official meetings or programs of government agencies or departments. (3) Other groups not falling into the first two categories.
Groups whose members are under the age of eighteen must be accompanied by at least one adult chaperone for each fifteen participants.
The Kleinpell Lower Level Community Room may be used by community groups. However, there is a $25 per use fee and a $50 deposit for the Lower Level Community Room. The per use fee and deposit need to be separate checks or amounts of cash. The user fee and deposit must be made before using the Community Room.
The Community Room may be reserved for a single date or short series of meetings but it may not be used for a regularly scheduled meeting.
The library has InFocus LCD projectors, a TV, and a DVD/VCR player for use in the meeting rooms. Reserve equipment to use in the meeting rooms by calling the library at 715-425-0905.
If you have any questions about the meeting rooms, call the library at 715-425-0905.
