• Free Federal, Wisconsin and Minnesota forms and instructions in the lobby.  Most forms usually arrive by the end of January.  Check the lobby to see what is available.

• Reproducible Federal and state forms and instructions are in the reference area when available.  Reproducible forms usually arrive by the end of January.  Copies are $.10 per page.

Free Tax Preparation Assistance

• AARP
  Thursday, February 9 and March 22 from 9am - pm
  Location - River Falls Senior Center, 119 Union St, River Falls
  These are are only two days for assistance.  Be prepared when you come, bring last year's tax returns, all 2011 statements and rent certificate.  First-come, first-served.

• UW-RF Student Accounting Society
  February 21 & 28 and March 6, 19, 26 & 27
  6pm - 9pm, first-come, first-serve
  Location - WESTconsin Credit Union, 1207 N Main St, River Falls
  The UW-RF Student Account Society and tax class will provide assistance preparing tax returns free of charge to individuals and families with annual income less than $25,000.  Bring your W-2 forms, forms 1099, dependent's social security numbers, day-care forms, Wisconsin Rent Credit form and prior year return.  Contact Steve DeWald at 715-425-0620 for more information.

Please be aware that the library is not responsible for any information that is lost during the process and that the library staff cannot help with tax information.  Library staff cannot recommend tax filing software or websites.

If you need extra time on the public computers to file your taxes, ask for an extension at least 10 minutes before your time is set to expire.

While the library staff is happy to help you with the index or table of contents to the reproducible tax forms, for legal reasons we cannot give you any tax advice or answer any tax questions such:
