COVID-19: At-Home Collection Kit

The State of Wisconsin and Vault Medical Services have teamed up to offer a new COVID-19 testing option for everyone who lives in Wisconsin, with or without symptoms, at no cost. This new service allows people to collect their own saliva samples for testing in their home. The capacity is expected to expand over time. This process includes 3 Steps:

  • Step one: Request an at-home collection kit: 
  • Step two: Collect your sample (over virtual Zoom call in the presence of a licensed health care professional)
  • Step three: Send in your sample (drop off your collection kit at a UPS drop-off location)

COVID-19 Drive-Thru/Walk-In Testing

Testing will resume at UWRF on May 10 at Hagestad Hall, 262 E. Cascade Ave., River Fall, WI 54022
Appointments will be available Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Community members interested in receiving a COVID-19 test must pre-register at Testing is free and open to the public over 5 years of age, however, appointments are required.

​The Ellsworth COVID-19 community testing site hours will change starting Monday, Sept. 27.
​Testing will be available from 9-11 a.m. on Monday and Thursday mornings.

All testing is drive-up without appointments. Pre-registration on the day of a test is recommended to speed up the testing process. Register at The test is free and no insurance is needed. Parents or guardians must be present to consent for testing minors aged 1 to 17. Children under 12 months old are not eligible for testing at this site.
