Curbside pickup will not be available on Election Day, Tuesday, August 11.

July 6, 2020 - Changes to curbside pickup and holds

  • Call the library at 715-425-0905 when your items on hold are ready for pickup.
  • Items on holds will be cancelled if not picked up after 14 days.

Patrons will begin receiving an automated notice from the MORE system to let you know that your item(s) are ready for pickup. You will need to call the River Falls Public Library at 715-425-0905, Monday through Friday from 10 am to 6 pm to schedule your curbside appointment. We will continue to call patrons with holds ready through Thursday, July 2, 2020.

Hold cancellations will resume beginning on June 29, 2020. Your items will remain on the holdshelf at the River Falls Public Library for only 14 days. You will need to call to schedule a curbside pickup before the hold expires. We will not be able to hold items on the holdshelf longer than 14 days.

Due to the adjusted library services in our library system, the amount of time that your item will take to arrive and be available for pickup will be delayed.

  • Continue to anticipate longer wait times for holds and in-transit items for the remainder of the summer.

Curbside Pickup
The River Falls Public Library is offering curbside pickup of materials for limited hours and by appointment ONLY.

Pick-ups are scheduled Monday through Friday in 15-minute increments from 10 a.m. - 5:45 p.m.  Seniors and the immunocompromised may schedule pick-ups from 9 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.

Materials from other MORE libraries will take much longer to be filled, even materials that have the status of "in transit" due to quarantine times and fewer deliveries. 

There will be designated “curbside pickup only” parking stalls in the library parking lot. Holds will be placed in labeled paper bags with patron alias clearly marked on each bag on a table near the library doors. The items in the bags will already be checked out. Please be timely with your scheduled pickup. The library building remains closed. This is a no contact service, meaning that staff will not be outdoors working at the tables.

Requesting River Falls Materials Online
1 - Place item(s) on hold

  • Go to the MORE Catalog - www.more.lib.wi.us and search for items currently available at the River Falls Public Library and be sure to set the pickup location to River Falls Public Library.
    (See instructions at bottom of this page.)

2 - Call the library at 715-425-0905 to schedule a pickup when your items are ready to pickup.

3 - Staff will checkout  your hold out to you, place it in a paper bag on a designated table outside the parking lot entrance to the library. Your alias will be clearly printed on your materials for easy identification when you arrive.  Please do not arrive early.

  • Alias = first two letters of your last name + first two letters of your first name + last for digits of your phone number. 
    ​For example Chris Smith 715-555-4563 is alias SMCR4563
